This Privacy Policy describes how Rough Mix (“we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by Anthony Cianchetta, collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the Rough Mix platform at roughmix.app (“the Platform”).

By using Rough Mix, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1.1 Information You Provide

When you create an account and use Rough Mix, we collect the following information:

• Email address
• Username
• City or location
• Date of birth
• Music genres of expertise or interest
• Profile avatar (photo)
• Audio files you upload to the platform
• Written reviews and feedback you submit

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Platform, we may automatically collect certain technical information including your IP address, browser type, and usage activity. This information is used to maintain the security and performance of the Platform.

1.3 Google OAuth

If you choose to sign in using Google, we receive your name and email address from Google as permitted by your Google account settings. We do not receive access to your Google Drive, Gmail, contacts, or any other Google services beyond basic profile identification.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Operate the credit system and track reviews
• Send transactional emails such as invite codes, review notifications, and account-related communications via Resend
• Display your profile to other users of the Platform
• Improve and maintain the Platform
• Respond to your support requests or feedback

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider, which stores your account information and uploaded content securely
• Resend — our email delivery provider, which receives your email address solely for the purpose of sending transactional emails
• Vercel — our hosting provider, which processes web requests to deliver the Platform
• Google — if you use Google OAuth to sign in, Google processes your authentication as described in their own Privacy Policy

All third-party service providers are required to handle your data in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which employs industry-standard security measures including encryption at rest and in transit. Audio files and profile images are stored in secure cloud storage with access controls.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

5. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent for data processing where consent is the legal basis

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law.

Audio files are automatically archived after receiving 5 reviews as part of the Platform’s standard operation.

7. Children’s Privacy

Rough Mix is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
